 Owner/Senior Stylist

Retired
Joan is our fearless leader. She is Owner, Stylist, Plumber, Interior Designer, and Personal Shopper. She opened Razors Edge in 1991 and worked it from a fledgling little salon to the largest Hair Studio and Day Spa in Northern BC. After spending 40 happy years behind the chair and training new stylists, Joan has recently retired. Joan enjoys a good cruise through Value Village and spends many hours caring for her coveted Koi pond and still maintaining Razors.

General Manager
Tammy is our General Manager. She has been dedicated to Razors Edge from the beginning in 1991, and has helped guide the business to where it is today.  She is a big believer in taking good care of the employees and they will naturally take good care of the clients.  She strives to create an environment where people want to be and work. She loves a good hydrafacial and can never turn down a massage.  If you visit the pedicure suite you will sometimes see her happily tending to the indoor greenhouse.

Bookkeeper & Sales Manager
Tawnie may be petite, but she can be tough. She literally grew up in the salon and worked herself from cleaning kid to Sales Manager to everything Bookkeeper. She is always on the lookout for how to improve salon life and how to take care of our staff , valued clients, and the bottom line. She enjoys her redneck weekends: quads, mud, beers and her dog. Tawnie is a new mom to baby Everest and has just returned. She makes an exceptional bacon-flavored vodka and has a passion for making Razors Edge the best salon and day spa in The North.    

 Receptionist 

Latasha has joined the front desk team as a full time receptionist. She was born and raised in the Okanagan before moving with her family to sunny Prince George.  Latasha has a keen interest in the beauty industry, and works as a lash artist.  Her naturally calm and warm disposition is perfect for the busy front desk and for perfecting a fluffy set of lashes. She enjoys music, basketball and online shopping!

Receptionist

Caitlin aka VERY good at all things required. Caitlin is a fulltime 4th year nursing student busy studying and maintaining the front desk and schedules.  She possesses a truly contagious happy spirit and knows almost every client's name.  Always dressed to impress and has the math skills we all admire. Caitlin has added pedicures to her skill set and enjoys being part of the pedicure parties.

Receptionist

Komal joined the front desk team in the summer of 2023 and picked up everything very quickly. She is soft spoken, calm and quick as a whip. If you are trying to squeeze into the schedule she is the one to figure out a way.

Komal is a self starter, moving from India to Canada by herself. She has mastered the English language and has a keen interest in the beauty industry. She has a great sense of humor and is always willing to go the extra mile.

Receptionist

 If you are a Razors Edge client than you surely recognize our beautiful Hallie who grew with Razors Edge a few years ago and ran the front desk for 10 years. She has returned part time and brings with her exceptional customer service skills. She also works as a teacher's aid where we know she is a natural with children. Hallie is a proud mother of three and is looking forward to some long awaited holidays.

Receptionist

Meet the sweetest soul at our front desk, Rebecca.  Rebecca is another born and raised in Prince George girl who enjoys camping and basketball during the summer.  She loves her cats and dogs and a good workout at the gym.  

Rebecca loves the social interactions at the front desk and is working hard to perfect the schedules which is no easy feat. She loves having a front row seat to the many transformations that go through the salon. Rebecca aspires to become a Makeup Artist and be an integral part of the makeovers.  Her beauty tip is cream blush over the powder.

Receptionist

Makayla joined our front desk in the summer of 2024. She moved to BC from Alberta two years ago and is enjoying road tripping and camping across BC. She recently got married and is enjoying the newlywed life in Prince George.

Makayla is very comfortable at the front desk and enjoys customer interactions. She is adaptable when it comes to the ever changing schedule and quick to reorganize when needed.
